			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>RALEIGH, N.C. – Dr. Frank Gozzo, president and CEO of Noverant, Inc., has announced that the firm has been selected by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for its information, training, security and compliance management system. The NCHSAA is a nonprofit group which administers the state’s interscholastic athletic program, and certifies the eligibility of more than 6,000 athletic officials and 150,000 athletes annually. The association will use Noverant’s solution to perform background checks on employees, officials and other individuals interested in working for the NCHSAA.</p>
<p>“We are pleased to have been chosen by the NCHSAA to help them conduct background checks on individuals interested in becoming officials,” said Gozzo. “There is nothing more important than the safety of our children, and our software will help the NCHSAA keep our high school athletes safe.”</p>
<p>“Noverant’s solution will help us ensure the safety of our high school athletes by ensuring that all past criminal history of our officials is immediately brought to the attention of the NCHSAA,” said Davis Whitfield, commissioner of the NCHSAA. “We will be able to perform background checks more quickly on applicants and, as a result, be able to more efficiently determine whether or not an individual is suited to officiate our games.”</p>
